Portrait Connection

Portrait Connection gifts fine art portraits to the families of children battling serious health conditions. Together with their partners, Portrait Connection commissions artists nationwide to paint personalized portraits of the kids, making sure that each painting captures the individual personality of each child.

Love Your Melon was proud to give $5,000 to the Portrait Connection to help fund the costs of commissioning artists for each painting of children battling cancer. Each portrait costed $500, which means 10 portraits were completed with the funding. All commissioned portraits were displayed in a gallery along with the stories of the children featured for a month. After the display, the families were sent their child’s personalized portrait painting.
