M HEALTH FAIRVIEW UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA MASONIC CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL
The M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital provides a broad range of pediatric programs and care for children battling cancer. This hospital is a leader in pediatric oncology services as well as top-notch research and was the site of the first successful pediatric bone marrow transplant.
Love Your Melon is proud to have supported the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital with $832,620 in support of the fight against pediatric cancer. Your support in the past as helped fund groundbreaking brain tumor research and treatments, bone marrow transplants, 3D Bioprinters, a therapy dog program, as well as the Love Your Melon lounge inside Kyle Rudolph's End Zone. Our lounge provides a safe and positive environment for children and teens to relax and play amidst the difficulties of treatment.
At the end of 2021, we gifted $400,000 to the University of Minnesota's Masonic Children's Hospital, which will support both research and provide family support. $100,000 of the gift will go towards supporting research in the prevention of childhood leukemia, and the remaining $300,000 will go towards renaming and building the Love Your Melon Family Resource Center within the hospital, at the site of Love Your Melon's first beanie donation event.
