Superhero Adventures are designed to give children battling cancer a fun, lighthearted, unforgettable experience in the midst of treatment. This adventure with our superhero, Ava, and her family was no exception!

Ava is four years old and is battling B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Our Campus Crew at Creighton University put together a special day based on Ava’s favorite things. The adventure began with a Shopkins scavenger hunt, sending Ava to many different locations in search of clues to lead to the final prize - a Shopkins Mall set!

After a delicious lunch break, the group played games with Ava, including a hula hoop contest, soccer and superhero cape making. Ava received her well-deserved awards, “MVP” and “Best Superhero Princess;” perfect descriptions of this amazing girl. Her cousin won the “Best Supporting Role” award. It was incredible to see the girls’ faces light up with joy when they received their awards.

Creating positive moments like this one in the midst of pediatric cancer treatment is a crucial way to support children and families enduring the most difficult time in the their lives. Thank you for continuing to make these events possible for children like Ava!

Many consumers are familiar with our mission to improve the lives of children battling cancer, but not everyone knows all our products are made here in the United States.
This week, as we continue to reflect on and celebrate Independence Day, we want to share some of the reasons behind our commitment to USA manufacturing.
