OLIVIA'S SUPERHERO ADVENTURE
Superheroes are generally known as fictional characters who have extraordinary or superhuman powers. However, we know some incredible superheroes in real life, like Olivia. Olivia's extraordinary power is the ability to make people smile and laugh!
Olivia is 11 years old and is in remission from acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). She was diagnosed at the age of three and received treatment for three years.
To celebrate Olivia being cancer-free, our Campus Crew at UW-Milwaukee planned a special day for her!
To start off Olivia’s adventure, we had a photo shoot full of giggles at Bradford Beach. Olivia and our Crew Members posed like superstars and rocked it. As you can see, Olivia is a natural!
To end our photoshoot, we surprised Olivia with her own cookie cake. After getting a sugar rush we all needed to let out some energy.
Our friends at Sky Zone Trampoline Park invited us to come and soar on the trampolines. We jumped into foam pits, played tag, challenged each other to basketball and goofed around. It was all smiles and all adventure!
Our goal is to create memorable experiences for children and their families in the midst of a difficult time or to celebrate their incredible strength after treatment is complete. We had so much fun celebrating and honoring Olivia, who was full of positivity and exemplified our definition of a real-life superhero.
