Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month: Smile Sessions with Alana Springsteen

Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month: Smile Sessions with Alana Springsteen

Love Your Melon kicked off Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month with an extra-special Smile Session! On September 1st, we partnered with Seacrest Studios to bring country music sensation and RSF Ambassador Alana Springsteen to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tennessee. It was a day of joy, fun, music, and most importantly, smiles!

Kids were able to watch live at the studio, or comfortably from their hospital rooms. The experience started out with a Question & Answer session, where kids could ask Alana questions and get to know her. She talked about following her dreams, learning to play the guitar (at only 7 years old!) and writing her first song at age 9. It was an amazing way for the kids to connect with Alana and get inspired to follow their own dreams. After the Q & A, Alana did a live performance of her hit song “Zero Trucks”, and even gave the kids an exclusive preview of an unreleased song that will premiere soon!

This was Love Your Melon’s first time working with Alana Springsteen, and we couldn’t be happier with how the event turned out. This smile session was definitely not short on smiles! This was just the start of our Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month celebrations – we can’t wait to share more about the events that made September magical!
