Meet Love Your Melon’s Game Night Program!

Love Your Melon Game Nights provide sports fans across the country with custom Love Your Melon hats, raise awareness for pediatric cancer, and give families battling pediatric cancer the opportunity to experience a fun evening cheering on their favorite team. To date, we have partnered with over 150 teams around the country and have been able to give hundreds of families unforgettable experiences.

On September 25th of this year, we partnered with the Chicago White Sox for a Game Night experience and were able to give 14-year-old Gavin and his family the opportunity to go down on the field and meet some of his favorite players!

At the age of 10, Gavin was diagnosed with high-risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia. He has been in treatment for the last three and a half years and officially rang the end of treatment bell on August 28th of this year. Gavin truly loves life to the fullest and always has a smile on his face. In fact, his nickname at school is “Smiley” because of his continuous upbeat and positive attitude.

“The White Sox were proud to partner with Love Your Melon - a brand that shares our commitment to uplifting the community and supporting the fight against pediatric cancer. In addition to the financial success of a sold-out beanie collaboration, the Love Your Melon partnership provided a wonderful opportunity for our players and front office staff to connect with so many amazing kids and families impacted by this terrible disease.”

Christine O’Reilly, Vice President of Community Relations at Chicago White Sox

We are so inspired by Gavin and all Superheroes battling cancer across the country. Our game nights give us the opportunity to give children like Gavin therapeutic experiences like this one.

Love Your Melon Game Nights allow fans to purchase tickets under the Game Night promotion and with each ticket they receive a Love Your Melon Beanie while also supporting the fight against pediatric cancer. Often times, children have often been in the hospital and in treatment for extended periods of time. These events provide an unforgettable night as well as an environment where families can relax, have fun and forget the stresses of treatment!
